Al Bonian Facilities Management is a market-leading provider of bespoke and integrated Facilities Management Solutions in the UAE. Their strong, established background in MEP design, contracting, and maintenance, which started regionally in 1987, and in Dubai back in 1997, is the cornerstone on which they base their growth and for which they are very well reputed. What sets them apart is that they are constantly striving to introduce new and efficient means to enhance the delivery of FM Solutions, to inspire healthier and safer places to work and live in, for this and generations to come.
The year 2021 has been a challenging year and yet a year of opportunities for the industry. However, a key highlight for Al Bonian Facilities Management Services was to keep all of their staff as safe as possible from the Covid 19 pandemic. “Like many others, we of course had cases of our employees being Covid positive, however with the measures we put in place and the support of our clients we were extremely fortunate. The strengthening of our relationships with clients that happened by default due to the pandemic, the increased interaction, and discussion, the feeling of partnership, in a ‘we are all in this together’ type scenario has also been evident and welcoming,” says Tony Martin, CEO, Al Bonian.
The flexibility and adaptability shown from all in the industry have made Al Bonian all think again about how they work with each other daily. “This has been evident through the retention of contracts and more recently the award of some very substantial and high-profile properties,” says Tony Martin. He goes on to explain how Al Bonian FM got through one of the toughest periods the modern world has had to face. “Al Bonian hasn’t only faced it, we have come out stronger, wiser, and extremely motivated for what the future holds,” adds Tony.
The 2022 Impact!
Looking at the market at large, Tony explains that a realistic forecast would always be that one would witness balance in the fourth quarter of the year. “Though with this balance came the ‘new ways of working. The old ways of FM would be left behind and the efficiencies honed and practiced. Without giving too much away to our competitors. Many changes have taken place. Al Bonian FM always prided itself on its mobility, flexibility, and adaptability in all situations. This, now even more so. We have reworked how we now bid for new work, how we are going to deliver the services. Also factoring in much more client involvement and tenant management, continuous discussion and information transparency with a daily update on all issues affecting properties, moving away from tired old templates that simply tick the box,” says Tony.
The vision Tony now wants Al Bonian FM to grow from strength to strength. He says that he would like to see more synergy between facilities management and community management. “We hope that the efficiencies of this will become more apparent to property owners and developers. This will create the true ‘one-stop-shop’ and when this happens Al Bonian FM will be there and will be ready!” he sums up.
