DEYAAR FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

For Deyaar Facilities Management, 2021 was a year of growth in all aspects.

Deyaar FM signed 30 new contracts and renewed 28 contracts between January and December 2021. Some of our major contracts included Dubai World Trade Centre at Expo 2020, Central Park Towers at DIFC, Aspen Medical Centers and DHL, among others.

"2021 was also the year we diversified into hospitality. We now cater to 25 different hotels across Dubai. We grew our manpower by 60%. By the end of the year, it will cross 65% as we are currently mobilizing a new major project," says Mohamad Abou Laban, CEO, Deyaar Facilities Management.

 The 2022 impact

All the big changes implemented in 2021 will have a positive impact on 2022. During 2021, revenues grew by 21%, and the company added several new service lines to its in-house services.

"We started chiller maintenance, water tank cleaning, external glass cleaning and facade repairs as part of this initiative. As part of our growth strategy, we have continued to invest in technology and training where we have taken steps to optimize our HR functions and Operations. One such step was implementing the new HR software and integrating it with our ERP and CAFM systems. We have also been recently awarded an ISO 41001 Facilities Management certification and are also in the final stages of getting our BICS certification," says Mohamad.

All these developments will enhance organizational efficiency, thereby optimizing costs and improving quality, which are the two key factors for customers.

"One of the biggest highlights of 2021 is that we promoted 76 of our existing staff to new roles which is in line with our strategy to develop a career path for our staff. We treat our staff like family and place them at the center of our operations.

"For instance, we recently shifted staff accommodation to Al Quoz to shorten their commute to work. Their journey now takes around 10 minutes to our major sites, while earlier, it used to be around 40 minutes. This improved their happiness and energy levels and this was further reflected in the quality of our services. "In addition to these, we also upgraded our fleet to improve the transportation experience for our team members," says Mohamad.

Taking care of people is important in any business, and for Deyaar FM this is paramount.

The vision

"Our aim is to attain the highest of international standards, follow best practices, and deliver what we promised to our customers. We want to exceed their expectations through tailor-made, high-quality, cost-effective solutions and position ourselves as one of the leading FM service providers in the UAE and across the Middle East.

"For 2022, we definitely are looking at more sustainable and measured growth. We will ensure that we mobilize our projects on time, meet our KPIs, and strengthen our business partnerships with our customers," he adds.
