There have been many highlights for FSI Middle East in 2021, but the most significant achievement was the acquisition of FSI by MRI Software, a global leader in real estate software.
“The acquisition of FSI significantly enhances MRI’s facilities management capabilities with a comprehensive, modern software solution that boosts the company’s ability to better serve owners, occupiers and contractors by delivering cutting-edge technology to effectively manage and maintain their facilities,” says Adrian Jarvis, Director, FSI ME, MRI Software.
In terms of regional development of FSI Middle East, MRI software is a much bigger organisation so this has meant immediate leap in client numbers and an increase the range of products potentially to be offered within the local market. FSI is therefore now able to offer more world-class facilities management and proptech solutions and innovation, along with more resources and expertise from around the globe. These attributes which will be of great benefit in our Middle East operation and which in turn enable us to support our clients and the market requirements better.
The 2022 impact
With the MRI acquisition and transition there are many changes planned or underway at FSI Middle East in terms of integration of both people and FSI and MRI products. FSI falls under the Global FM Division of MRI under divisional Managing Director, James Massey, who has helped the team select a select number of other MRI products to introduce into the Middle East market.
“We have witnessed a heightened interest in Workplace solutions, particularly around space utilisation as companies return to the office. Working in a variety of flexible capacities, we are bringing MRI products that provide property occupiers with lease accounting, lease and transaction management, space visualisation and management, room and desk booking, and touchless entry and exit employee, visitor and contractor management,” he adds.
They are also very excited to see the recent announcement of the acquisition of eSight Energy Limited by MRI; eSight Energy®, a product they have previously worked with in the region, enables energy monitoring solutions that enables organisations to improve energy-related decisionmaking and savings through off-the-shelf and customisable reporting and analytics. “As a tech company we couldn’t FSI AN MRI SOFTWARE COMPANY talk about change without talking about products; as usual FSI has been busy from a product development perspective with new versions of Concept Evolution CAFM and new products which will have an impact in 2022,” explains Adrian.
The vision
“From an FM perspective we continue to see the need to for strong mobile capabilities for both FM providers and departments to efficiently manage an on-thego workforce, and to improve building management experience for occupiers. We also continue to see demand for IoT connectivity to bridge gaps in organisations' systems and deliver insights that will enable them to enhance performance, pre-empt failures, and power smart buildings. Naturally we will continue to support clients and the market in these areas. A huge need among our clients is greater control of energy usage to meet corporate, brand and societal objectives,” says Adrian.
FSI, being part of MRI Software, further builds on their position of being able to support the management of the full life-cycle of an asset, and Adrian says that they will look to improve this with any product integrations that cover this complete process.
