A visionary who embraces innovation and technology, HP Aengaar, CEO of Provis, has successfully navigated the company from one success to another and helped employees and customers adapt to the new normal.
When appointed as CEO of Provis, HP was tasked with launching Provis and taking the estate management industry to a higher level with technology and best-in-class customer experiences.
He has spearheaded Provis's digital transformation and supported the adoption and integration of several innovations that enhanced customer experience, optimised operations, and improved service delivery. Examples include the launch of the web-based Provis Portal and the mobile-based Provis application. Both innovations offered investors, owners, and tenants the ability to remotely access the full spectrum of Provis services in a user-friendly design that can be accessed 24-hours a day, seven days a week, at their convenience.
Sustainability is an integral part of Provis, both on a company level and across the communities that Provis manages.
Under HP’s guidance, the company has adopted a cloud-based Building Management System (BMS), which helped lower operating costs by reducing energy bills and improving health and productivity across its communities. Provis also introduced a number of high-impact, energy-saving initiatives, which resulted in significant energy savings.
As a result of HP's efforts, today, Provis is one of the largest full-service real estate services companies in the Middle East that continues to invest heavily in property technology.
During the pandemic, HP's digital transformation drive for the company meant that Provis already had the right tools and know-how to adapt and thrive. As a result, the company was able to leverage its digital transformation efforts to keep the businesses operational, and, most importantly, safe.
Due to this, the company was able to keep communities moving and entertained by launching virtual clubhouses and lifestyle activities and extending them to the public by broadcasting on social media. Over 480 virtual classes and 5,000 minutes of sporting and lifestyle classes were delivered virtually in a span of two to three months.
During the lockdown, he was with his team through every step of the way. In addition, he hosted regular virtual meetings with staff to ensure everyone stayed safe and aligned with the company's strategy.
As a leader, he feels that no challenge, significant or minor, can be ignored. By constantly engaging and inspiring his team, he has played a vital role in building their strengths and motivating them to think out of the box.
HP has been the driving force behind Provis's success. Under his direction and leadership, the company embarked on a programme of strategic acquisitions, completing, and integrating Asteco Property Management LLC and all its branches across Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as Pacific Owners Association into Provis and successfully outperforming synergy realisation by 50%. This led to Provis expanding its offering to include valuation and advisory, and franchising and becoming the largest full-service real-estate services company in the Middle East today.
Today, the company manages over 25,000 units under property management, more than 28,000 units under Owners Association management in the UAE and the wider region and manages 650,000 sqm of commercial assets spread across 23 reputable properties. The company also established an Integrated Facilities Management division in 2021 that procures, supervises and manages more than 1 billion dirhams in Facilities Management contracts covering over 3,000 assets across the UAE.
Provis’s business and portfolio grew by 200% in the last two years and the number of staff increased fivefold.
